Enel Russia obtained a certificate of readiness for the autumn-winter season 2021-2022

Moscow, November 9th, 2021 – PJSC Enel Russia obtained a Certificate of Readiness for operation in the heating season 2021-2022.

Being awarded the Certificate of Readiness was preceded by a comprehensive assessment of power plants of the company that was carried out in accordance with the Methodology of Calculating the Index of Readiness of Power Plants for the Heating Season approved by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. According to this Methodology, each power plant of Enel Russia was assessed based on the company's data within industry reporting, as well as data provided by the System Operator and Rostekhnadzor. The indicators of readiness cover aspects of operational and system reliability, readiness of personnel, implementation of maintenance program, technical condition of the equipment, health and safety, fuel supply and emergency response activities. In addition, the readiness assessment of facilities for the heating season was carried out by the company's internal commissions, as well as within inspections of Rostekhnadzor.

Based on the results of these checks, all power plants of the company: Konakovskaya GRES, Nevinnomysskaya GRES, Sredneuralskaya GRES and Azov wind farm commissioned in May 2021 were recognized as capable of carrying the autumn-winter maximum load.

A set of measures aimed at ensuring the system reliability and technological safety during peak-load periods and at low outdoor temperatures have been developed and implemented at the company's power plants. Repair work has been carried out at the stations as per the schedule, a stock of the main and back-up fuel has been formed, an emergency reserve of spare parts and materials has been made, an industrial safety expertise for the technical devices, buildings and structures is carried out in a timely manner.

The employees of the company are provided with the special outfit and footwear as well as with the necessary personal and collective protective equipment. During the year, training sessions and knowledge tests regarding compliance with health and safety, industrial and fire protection standards have been conducted with the power plant personnel.

A separate Certificate of Readiness to operate in the autumn-winter period in 2021-2022 is issued for Azov wind farm facing its first cold season since commissioning. The preparatory work performed at the station was highly appreciated by the experts from the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
