Following the results of the school year 2023-2024, specialists of EL5-Energo PJSC in the regions of its presence conducted 23 training lessons on safe handling of electricity for more than 1,000 schoolchildren. The lessons were held within the framework of the internal corporate project "Live safely. Manage Risks" in schools in Nevinnomyssk, Sredneuralsk, Murmansk, Konakovo and Azovsky District.
In a playful way, the students learned how to handle electricity correctly, how to follow energy safety rules, and how to use energy-efficient technologies. Together with the trainers, the children learned to anticipate and predict dangerous situations, thinking of ways to avoid them, instilling a culture of risk-oriented behavior.
The trainers who conducted the lessons for the children are current employees of EL5-Energo PJSC who know firsthand the importance of safe handling of electricity. In order to convey complicated information in a language understandable for schoolchildren, they have undergone special training in child psychology and methods of communication with minors.
The main goal of the project "Live safely. Manage Risks" is to prevent children's injuries related to the use of electrical appliances and to educate children in an informed and responsible approach to the use of electricity.
In addition, the company's specialists hold separate lessons on water safety, where remind children that swimming and boating near the hydro-technical facilities of power plants is prohibited, as well as about the dangers near the discharge channels of the plants.
During the summer period, EL5-Energo safety specialists will continue the project "Live safely. Manage Risks" already in school camps, since it is during vacations that children have more free time, and inquisitiveness can provoke unforeseen situations in case of careless handling of electrical appliances.
