In 1998, Oleg Kosmenyuk graduated Pavlodar State University named after S. Toraigyrov (Kazakhstan) with a degree in Thermal Power Engineering.

In 1991, he began his career at Ekibastuz GRES-1 in the thermal automation shop. In the period from 1997 to 2008, he worked at the AES energy corporation in Kazakhstan, from foreman to regional director of labor protection.

From 2008 to 2011, he served as General Director of Meikuben West LLP in Kazakhmys Corporation.

In 2011, Mr. Kosmenyuk joined EL5-Energo (previously Enel Russia) and held senior positions, and in June 2013 he was appointed to the position of Vice President - Director for Coal Generation - Director of Reftinskaya GRES.

Since April 2016, he has been Deputy General Director – Head of Generation of EL5-Energo.

During his long career, Oleg received several industry and state awards from the authorities of Kazakhstan and the Sverdlovsk region, in 2020 he was awarded the title of "Honorary Power Engineer".

In 2021, Mr. Kosmenyuk received a commendation from the President of the Russian Federation "For his great contribution to the development of the fuel and energy complex and many years of conscientious work."
